I am slowly implementing a chore chart into our schedule. It's very simple since my oldest is only 4 y.o. As they master the tasks I hope to remove the task such as use the bathroom and add another actual chore. But as they still need my help with almost EVERYTHING, I am putting it on the chart. I got this idea from Confessions of a Homeschooler I love, love, love her blog. I have gotten so many great ideas from her. You can print out all the things needed for the chart there. The way we do it is: each child has a row with their picture and their tasks to complete. As they complete the task, they can put a completion card over the chore. I store the completion cards at the far right. When all the chores are covered, the reward is a high five from Mom and then we can move on and have bible time.

An Introduction to Our Homeschool Schedule Part 1
My homeschool schedule is pretty laid back right now since we have a 2 month old baby (Baby1) added in the mix. My other sons are 4 y.o - (Pooky4). 3 y.o.(Bucky3) and turning 2 y.o. this month .(Sparky2). I am trying to establish a routine and I am well on my way with the help of this wonderful book Managers of their Homes I am still implementing the schedule slowly. . . .very slowly. The 3 areas we are working on are Bible, Letters, and Chores. I will discuss each one in more depth in future posts.
Our schedule goes something like this. . . on a good day.
5:30 a.m. get up and nurse the baby and put him back down to sleep
6:00 a.m. have personal devotions,
6:30 a.m. Sparky2 wakes up and hangs out with me while I catch up on chores and start preparing breakfast. 7:00 a.m make Hubby's lunch and start working on chores with the boys as they wake up.
7: 30 a.m. Hubby leaves for work and I continue to work on chores with boys.
8:00 a.m. bible time with the boys8:30 a.m. boys watch video, I do chores,
9:00 a.m. nurse the baby and multitask by checking e-mail .
10:00 a.m. snack time
10:30 a.m. The boys then play inside or we head outside until shortly before lunch.
Our afternoon schedule will be explained in a future post.
